Come join us this Saturday at one of our new favorite venues in Shanghai! We’ll be premiering our new song “Rabbit,” due to be recorded in a few weeks as an in-studio documentary by Damien Banzigou (of Noukilla), and later shot as a short-film/music video. And it’s no secret that we have our eyes on London west end director Jonathan Man — while we’re still lucky enough to have him in Asia a bit longer… :) :) ~D n V

Very excited to have our music heard at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Thank you for listening! ~DnV

Dana & Vlad just wrote the original score for Shanghai Repertory Theater’s production of Drift, premiering August 3-29 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Set between China and Singapore, the play centers on “lives caught in the speed of modernization; where culture and memories are contested.” Drift will return to Shanghai in the fall with a large-scale performance by the original cast and music composers.

Here is a sneak peek at the first photo shoot for the Dana & Vlad duo project. We spent a righteous fun-filled afternoon with emerging photojournalist (and dear friend) Stacy Kwinn … www.ckwinn.com … who seemed to instinctively capture the many moods that define us and our music. Thanks heaps for this special day! ~DnV

Spinning and Shining: From Shanghai to Saturn

These are the vivid machinations of a French guitar boy called "Vlad" and an American singer girl called "Dana" -- who stared into infinity on a Chinese playground in summer '10, and entered the music world with realness. Thousands of miles from China to USA to France to Ireland and beyond, "Dana & Vlad" (a.k.a. "The Cowboy & The Devil") are writing the new book on bucking trends and making statements.
